TrainThe NYC Ferry Landing at Brooklyn Army Terminal/Sunset Park is a short walk from the N, and R lines – 59th Street stop in Brooklyn. Walk west on 58th Street one block toward the elevated expressway and the waterfront. Continue down 58th Street until you arrive at the waterfront. This 75-minute ferry trip runs across the Northumberland Strait between Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island and Caribou, Nova Scotia, just outside of historic Pictou. Ferries run from the Battery Maritime Building in Lower Manhattan until 10pm Sunday-Thursday and 11pm Friday-Saturday during the summer months.

Government-issued identification is required when checking in at the tolls or boarding as a foot passenger. Walk-on passengers are allowed up to 100 pounds of hand-carried baggage. Passengers are responsible for the handling and safety of their own bags.

Jetty Island is a jewel to all who visit its sandy beaches, a rarity in the Pacific Northwest. Visitors often speak of Jetty Island’s untouched natural beauty. With no electricity or plumbing, the only structure on the island is the seasonal floating restroom off its shores. Jetty Island is a nature preserve with juvenile salmon, waterfowl and bald eagles being just a few examples of the wildlife living on the Jetty. Continuous work is being done to improve and expand the island’s wildlife habitat. The extreme sport of kiteboarding is growing in popularity and many athletes travel from outside the area to kiteboard at Jetty Island.
Changes cannot be made once the reservation date and time have passed. The drivers name cannot be changed after the initial booking. Tickets for infants (0-3 years), permanently resident seniors (aged 60+ showing a valid ID card) and tickets for passengers showing a valid EU Disability card MUST be obtained for free at the ticket booths. Travellers with children (4-12 years) must purchase a Euro 1.15 ticket per child, from the ticket booths. Gozo Channel will not refund wrongly purchased, online tickets and customers will have to purchase the correct ticket/s from the booths to proceed to embarkation.
If you arrive late and miss your ferry sailing, you can still travel standby on a space-available basis. Let the tollbooth know that you had a reservation to avoid a no-show fee. You must check-in at the toll booth/ferry line at least 30 minutes ahead of your sailing time or you will lose your reservation and will travel standby. Bring your ticketing ferries printed reservation sheet or your confirmation email on your phone with the barcode for easy scanning. You can pay your ticket price at the toll booth, or purchase your ticket online in advance. Cumberland Island is only accessible by boat and is located just seven miles east of St. Marys.
If an error is found please call the reservation office immediately. Please present this letter and a photo ID that matches the driver name on the reservation upon check-in. Please determine total vehicle height prior to booking; you must indicate if your vehicle will exceed 7 feet in height, as this may alter availability and pricing.
